Need a simple and inexpensive gift idea that packs a big punch? This crate of paperwhite bulbs will do the trick for sure! Another great idea shared with us by our friend Maaike Bernstrom, she placed paperwhite bulbs in glass jars (that would normally land in the recycling bin) with rocks and water, and then placed the bulbs in a clementine crate from her last produce shopping, and filled the crate with tissue and holiday greens from her yard.

To add a little impact she started some of them a week prior to giving them so that she could include a few that had already sprouted.

We think we would have a hard time giving them away when they look so pretty like this! But really, this is a gift that we would love to receive and we bet a lot of the people on your list would too. If you’re heading to a holiday party or participating in a Yankee swap or need teacher gifts, these are a great idea.
