While I had hoped to have a bunch of holiday decorating posts ready to go for today, between getting hockey practices and birthday parties, I only managed to get the garland up around my front and side doors, and I made another wreath for my side door.

I wanted it to compliment the wreath I made for the front door, but not match it so I grabbed a few starfish from a vase in my living room and wired them onto a plain wreath. Then I added a burlap bow. I’m not sure if I can express how much I love this burlap ribbon that I found at Michael’s (it’s in the wreath section, not the ribbon one). It is so easy to work with, and as someone who is horrible at making bows, it allows me to look like I have some sense of what I’m doing. I’m also not all that into the multiple layer bows so I love that it gives me a simple bow that is not frilly but is still full.
