Nantucket Hotels, Rachel Reider, Veranda House
While strolling around downtown Nantucket on my vacation, I decided to pop into Veranda House. Sitting at the top of a charming hillside, Veranda House lured me in with the beautifully landscaped pathway to the terrace.
It happens that an old friend and now acclaimed interior designer, Rachel Reider designed the interior of this boutique hotel. While amidst the quaint and quiet streets of Nantucket, it boasts bright colors, incredible light fixtures and furniture that just about shouts, “sit here!”
Rachel’s designs make boutique hotel visits more than just a place to store your bags and rest your head. Staying in this, or any of the other of the Lark Hotels she has designed, offers a sensory experience. Each room is layered with texture and colors that the excite while reading nooks filled with books, magazines and bold artwork allow guests to have a private space where they can put their feet up after long days at the beach or shopping downtown.
